VS11 Installation using NuGet

Feb 12, 2012 at 1:33 AM

I have installed NuGet into VS11 and tried to install using "Install-Package AsyncUnitTests-MSTest".  The Package manager then tries to install... then rolls back with the following error:

Install-Package : Could not install package 'AsyncUnitTests-MSTest 1.0.1'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETCore,Version=v4.5', but the package does not contain any assembly references that are compatible with that

framework. For more information, contact the package author.

At line:1 char:1

+ Install-Package AsyncUnitTests-MSTest

+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Install-Package], InvalidOperationException

+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : NuGetCmdletUnhandledException,NuGet.PowerShell.Commands.InstallPackageCommand

I'm not that familiar with NuGet or the Package Manager ... is there something I am missing?  I am using the VS11 Ultimate Developer Preview (version 11.0.40825.2 PREREL) incase that helps.

Seems like a deeper problem.

If you download the source code, build it, and try to add it to a Metro unit test project, then there is an error saying that the project types are not compatible.
